About Saint Petersburg
Saint Petersburg is a city founded in the 18th century by Peter the Great at the Gulf of Finland in the Baltic Sea. It is situated on the Neva River and is considered as the Venice of the North since it is built on swamp. The river ends in the city centre and connects a large number of water corridors which links more than 100 islands with 340 bridges.

Furthermore, it is also worth trying traditional Russian cuisine and tasting dishes such as Shchi (cabbage soup), Ukha (fish soup), Solyanka (soup), Pelmeni (dumplings), Pierogi (dumplings), and Blini (pancakes).
